Welcome To Elm Class!

In week two, Elm Class took part in Forest Schools. They used their orienteering skills and listening skills to explore the woodland area. They also built fairy dens from small natural objects.

In Literacy this week, Elm Class have been using 'Talk For Writing' developed by Pie Corbett. They have been using actions to help support their instructional writing. 

Today Elm Class took part in a clay workshop . They produced clay tiles related to their topic about dinosaurs. They used different skills and tools to manipulate the clay.

Maths in Elm Class.

We have been using concrete materials to identify and represent numbers.

We have had a busy few weeks in Elm Class. 

We had a visit from the hygiene nurse to talk to us about the importance of handwashing.

We've been using the outdoor environment to support our learning in maths.

We collected leaves and used them in our addition sentences.

Music In Elm Class

This week we completed a lesson in Music called 'By The Sea.'

The children completed a musical treasure hunt by selecting instruments which matched seaside sounds.
